Denver's Rocker

Now this one is a real rocker.

This rocker was made from scratch. No plan or direction except for Danielle's height and a few other measurements that will make this rocker a truly custom fit to this new mommy.

It was made to be a nursery rocker for Denver James complete with a music box in the bottom that plays
" Pooh Corner" from Loggins and Messina.

This was the first chair I had ever made. I was told that if I were to dive in with both feet... that was the way to do it.
Rocking Chairs are a skill that needs to be preserved for those who know what they are doing... NOT ME!

Each spindle and slat were made from Oak.

Thanks to Ben Wysocki for the use of lathe for all the parts that I needed to spin.

I love how it turned out and particularly proud of the personalization and that fact that there are only two screws in the entire project.
